Romney's proposal to eliminate tax on dividends and interest for people making less than 200,000 per year is a major boost to the middle class and will also provide much more spendable income to evenly spur the economy and jobs rather than wasting billions on Obama campaign doners that open a business and then go bankrupt .

Uh,no. It continues to amaze me that middle-class UPS workers who are only middle-class because they have good-paying union jobs, support a candidate who hates unions, believes in off-shoring good-paying jobs, and helping the plutocrats and aristocrats become even richer. Romney's economic plan benefits "who" the most? People like Romney, that's who. The rest of his BS is just that..crap. Voting against your own best interests and being a useful idiot for the 1% doesn't seem very intelligent. Guess I'm wrong, and a Socialist for saying that, eh?

But what about the deficit? Or do we just assume we'll magically grow out of it?

People like Romney make over 200,000 a year. I think the people voting against Obama are voting for their best interest. What will a union do for you when your company goes out of business?

What will a union do for you when your company goes out of business?

Yet, our Union-saddled employer is the most profitable, most efficient, most awesome delivery company in the business.

Are you afraid UPS is going to go out of business?

Lulz.

fixed it for ya ;)

Thanks for the fix.

I'm often surprised (by the chaos in the mornings, the endless add-cuts, the horrible dispatches, on and on and on...) that UPS actually gets 95%?+ packages where they're supposed to go, and on time.

(We deliver 1 gabillion packages, so a two or three or whatever % failure rate is still a BUNCH of packages, but my guess is we do better than each iteration of Smith's machine)

But, that wasn't my point; I was responding to this quote:

People like Romney make over 200,000 a year. I think the people voting against Obama are voting for their best interest. What will a union do for you when your company goes out of business?

caharrell5's syllogism involving Unions/Romney's wage/companies-going-bankrupt is surreal and isn't based in either logic or reality.

Thanks for the fix.

Republican's have never seen a deficit they didn't create. They only hate them after they've dumped them on the Democrats.

Dick Cheney:
You know, Paul, Reagan proved that deficits don't matter. We won the mid-term elections, this is our due.

That's it? Beckel? At least spell his name correctly.

You are really digging deep. No wonder Biden and Obama laughed. How does one counter absurdity?

Hey, I'm just passing along what the guy said. He used to run campaigns too. He's suppose to be the expert!

Actually you didn't pass anything along, no matter.

Money changes people. Experiences change people. Sometimes we have amnesia, we don't remember what happened just four years ago, we don't remember how much gov't money helped our child when they really needed it, we don't remember the help we were given by the gov't when our crops failed, or the well ran dry.

Come on people...

fx,
Unlike FedEx many Union People own UPS stock. Obviously you do not understand English. Americans making less than 200,000 will not pay tax on dividends or interest.

Too difficult for you to understand ??

speaking of little brains, I imagine you know what Beckel was quoting I hope?

Let me help you with some understanding of the facts....

Two important republicans "coined" this phrase.. I am sure your lovely informants on fox would tell you, if they ever told the truth, but truth be told...

RONALD REAGAN first COINED the phrase as he racked up 3.7 trillion in debt. The second was DICK CHENEY.

2002: Dick Cheney says "deficits don't matter." - maximillio's column on Newsvine

SO, now you know that both REAGAN and CHENEY said "DEFICITS DONT MATTER"..

Thats what Beckel was referring to. consider yourself informed.

And they've really cashed in on that. What was the offering to hourly? $70 or so a decade or so ago. They'll retire millionaires. Glad I was in for the 2-1 split (remember when they happened all the time?) before the IPO. At least the dividend has underperformed. Going public was a great idea, I can't believe the money I've made on the stock in the last 15 years.

Well as least some of us who knew not to buy after it was offered to hourly will retire millionaires.

Many of us were in before the split. Also many of us wisely rolled our thrift plans into UPS stock and did retire millionaires contrary to the union telling us not to !! Also many , many if not most ups people have diversified--- hold all different stock portfolios and no tax on dividends IS A VERY BIG DEAL for the MIDDLE CLASS!!
