Trump 2024!!

Based on the obvious high levels of Trump support, many have theorized that The Orange One may run again in 2024. This is why a lot of Republicans aren't saying much right now, nor are they throwing Trump under the bus in order that they might save themselves. That might still be coming, but not for awhile. They dare not rile the substantial base. No Blue Wave, and probably a GOP majority in the Senate make for an almost guaranteed divided government, which, historically, is very good for the economy but not great for the incoming president because a lot of potential legislation will get killed in the Senate. This leads to charges of an administration that can't accomplish it's goals. Fertile ground for an opportunist like Trump.

IMO, you won't see Trump again, except perhaps in a TV show or even on his own Trumpapalooza network, where he can tell whatever lies or peddle any conspiracy theory he wants. The one thing that could stop him dead in his tracks is potential criminality. Once the protective layers of the DOJ and the office of the presidency itself are stripped away, we're probably going to see the taxes, find out who has really been financing him, and how he abused the office to profit himself, friends, and family. That might convince some of you, but most of you won't buy it, even if the evidence is iron-clad and irrefutable. That's just how you roll...denial.

Maybe he'll pardon himself or somehow escape most of it, but I doubt it. We'll see. Maybe he'll convince Don Jr. to run, because Trumpism isn't dead even if Trump himself is gone. All of the Trumptards who love him will create more excuses and conspiracy theories to absolve their hero. Another 170,000 Americans are predicted to die of Covid by January 20th, which would bring us to approximately 400,000 dead on Trump's watch. Nothing to see here.

Trump, 2024!!!

He's been talking about 2024. I always thought it was about pulling some Putin :censored2:. Oh well it's legal now and just running might pay off the campaign's debt. Super grift, just donate money now and save him the embarrassment.

So what crimes has he committed that Pelosi chose not to impeach him for?

We'll see.

From August:

SDNY Judge Rejects Trump's Objections to Manhattan Grand Jury Subpoena Seeking Financial Records | New York Law Journal

"A New York federal judge on Thursday threw out President Donald Trump’s challenge to a Manhattan grand jury subpoena for his tax records in a significant blow to the president’s attempt to shield those documents from a state grand jury.

In the 103-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero of the Southern District of New York found for the second time in the case that Trump had not made a showing of immunity from the subpoena. Hearing the case in the wake of a July ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court, Marrero criticized claims of presidential immunity made by Trump’s attorneys.

The decision is a win for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office. Attorneys for the state prosecutor have suggested in court filings that their investigation is broader than Trump alone, writing this subpoena is “no different from many grand jury subpoenas routinely issued in white-collar crime investigations.” The filing pointed to media reports on “possible criminal activity” at the Trump Organization."

Well that's certainly proof. If there was anything criminal out there Pelosi would be all over it.

SDNY is a Federal judicial district amigo. Once again a know it all lib who doesn't know it all. And if Trump has broken a law anywhere, Federal or state, Pelosi can have him impeached.
She was reluctant the first time, she's not going to try again with his personal Attorney General blocking every which way he can.

She has a bigger problem right now than going after Trump, keeping AOC from removing her as Speaker for the House.
When she loses that, she will not want to be in DC much longer.

Let's see what happens when the protective layer(s) of Bill Barr and the DOJ, and the office of the presidency are stripped away. You might have some ugly surprises about Trump that can't be explained away by the "Deep State" or other conspiratorial nonsense. As others have said, there's not much they can do until January 20th given the above. I would also expect a possible resignation and pardon by Pence.

Again, if a crime is believed to have been committed Pelosi can start impeachment proceedings. Has nothing to do with Barr, DOJ, etc.
