What local do I belong to? I'm in mid atlantic district. Is it 804??
804 is in New York.
804 is in the North Atlantic district.
No Name, what City do you work in...
I would think the union bulletin board, that the company is required to let us have, would have union literature, complete with letterhead showing local number, some where in the OP's center/hub but then......
I'm in secaucus, nj
Why don't you ask your Union Steward?
are you even in the union?
How long have you worked for ups......if its more than 30 days you are in local 177
Since this January and thanks
It speaks volumes about the union local when a new employee has to come here to ask basic questions.
It speaks volumes about a company....
When they don't offer basic information, and employees come here for answers.
Why would a person take the time to get on here and ask when it would be quicker to just ask a co worker?
Because they like to ask anonymously.
Perhaps the Company could invite the Union to make a presentation during new hire orientation.
Yeah like that would ever happen.
Company trainer: "OK, before we move onto the 8 keys to lifting and lowering, would you all please welcome the local BA. Us management hate seeing him as he exists just to be a thorn in our side while helping you to avail your rights as a member of organized labor, but we decided to make that process as easy as we possibly could for you"
As I recall the Company invited the Union to represent their hourlies.
The trainer could step out of the room while the BA gave his/her spiel.
