UPSers.com painfully slow to use

I give up. Every time I attempt to use UPSers.com, I'm left wondering why in the world a company the size and wealth of UPS can't or won't do a better job.

I've written to the web masters in the past to express my concerns. I once received a reply, but the attitude of the response was the issues must be with the user, not the provider. How typical is that? My main complaint is that the web pages take way too long to load. If a page loads at all, it will be in excess of 30 seconds or more. Are you kidding me? Is UPS running that site off of a server on dial up? WTF!

Hey UPS, It's time you focused on fixing that site.

Thanks

It may very well be your browser--I rarely if ever have issues with UPSers.

Did you know that Hoaxster, one of the mods here, works on the UPSers website? PM him--he may have some tips or may be able to help you or find someone who can help you with the issues you are having.

I've had the same painfully slow loading at UPSersDotCom for years.

The site is all but unuseable.

I've used a series of browsers made by some outfit called Microsoft that some dropout named Billy started in his garage while his buddy looked at porn mags.

Browncafe is a little slow in recent months as well. It's the extra time it takes to load all the irrevelant, repetitious, picture ads. What's really frustrating is even though the text is displayed and clickable, if I click on a forum or thread, either my click is canceled out by the still-loading ad, or the page is reformatted by the odd-sized ad, so my click is transfered to some other clickable item, usually the item below the one I actually clicked on. Very frustrating.

Wow, I find it interesting more people find no problem with UPSers.com than do. I know my way around computers and the net, so this is a mystery. I've experienced slow page load with UPSers.com on every computer I've used. I rarely have any issues with other sites, but for some reason, UPSers is painfully slow for me.

Thanks for the input.

JonFrum, I'm sorry that you are experiencing page load problems with our site.

Have you contacted aol tech support to ask them how you can improve your connection? My mom used aol for years. She recently switched to a cable isp and was amazed at the improvement it made to everything she does on the internet.

I have a lot of problems with being locked out. I recently got a letter stating that I could look at what my Pension would be paying out through an off-site calculator. I followed the directions to a Tee and got locked out after repeated log-on attempts. It would be nice if they had a phone number where you could talk to a live person to settle problems. I have problems connecting to Tech Support too, I answer my security questions correctly and I still can't get through.

It is usually slow for me too. I used to take the time to at least try to read some of the news articles for the local district, but gave up. Now all I use it for is to look at my paychecks, and even then I get errors and timeouts. When I would read the news articles I would usually open them all in separate tabs then go do something else for a while.

Since I normally use it when we get paid I always assumed it is just overloaded from everyone trying at once.
