Vacation paid before 1st year.

Hello Brown Cafe, i recently received had two vacation checks deposited on the same day. One was a regular vacation and the other was an option week check. The problem is they where deposited four days before my year seniority, and i didn't sign up for any vacations yet. Also the option check had 8 hours of holiday pay on it. Whats going on here is this a payroll mistake, or did they sign me up for vacations, even it was the latter why would i get checks at same time.

Vacations are paid two weeks in advance. I have to think that they paid these out now as we are not allowed to take vacations during Peak. The 8 hours of holiday pay are for Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving.

Isn't it nice to get money that you didn't know you had coming?

yea it was cool getting that money not expecting it. I talked to my sup. today and he told me they where paying out because my seniority date was so late in the year, thanks for the reply though. Mods you can delete this thread if you wish.
