Company rolls out guaranteed door-to-door delivery service in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama

UPS® (NYSE:UPS) today announced the second expansion this year of its UPS Worldwide Express Freight™ service, adding five countries in Latin America and three in Europe. The guaranteed service is designed for urgent, time-sensitive and high-value international heavyweight shipments – perfect for product launches, inventory shortages or equipment failure replacement parts – to 58 origin and 56 destination countries and territories.

UPS Expands China-Europe Rail Service with LCL Option

UPS Preferred® multimodal freight services portfolio helps companies balance speed and cost

UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced today it has added a Less-than-Container Load (LCL) option for China-to-Europe rail shipments. The service is available from Zhengzhou to Hamburg and becomes part of the UPS Preferred® multimodal freight services portfolio. UPS established a Full Container Load (FCL) solution for China-to-Europe in June 2014.

UPS and Haribon Foundation Jointly Restore Philippine Rainforests

Collaboration Supports UPS’s Global Forestry Initiative to Provide Funding and Hands-On Support for Tree Planting Efforts

The UPS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of UPS (NYSE: UPS), has awarded US$35,000 (approximately Php 1,500,000) to Haribon Foundation, an organization committed to nature conservation. In addition to adopting more than 7,500 seedlings and restoring six hectares of forest land, UPS’s donation supports Haribon Foundation’s ‘Rainforest Organizations and Advocates (ROAD) to 2020’ project, an environmental conservation movement that aims to restore one million hectares of Philippine rainforests using native tree species by the year 2020.

UPS Tests Electric Cargo Bike in Basel

UPS is testing an electrically supported cargo bike for the delivery and pickup of packages in downtown Basel, Switzerland. UPS is exploring the economic and ecological viability of this alternative mode of transportation for city-center delivery over a period of four weeks.  The company already uses battery-aided cargo bikes in Hamburg, Germany.

Findings indicate enhanced service may lead to manufacturer advantage

New UPS (NYSE: UPS) research has revealed that 78 percent of small- to mid-size industrial machinery companies believe their customers’ expectations for aftersales service are rising, but only 12 percent of those manufacturers indicate replacement parts and service are top differentiators for their business.
