Collaboration With Workhorse Group on New, Zero Emission Vehicles is Industry First

UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced it plans to deploy 50 plug-in electric delivery trucks that will be comparable in acquisition cost to conventional-fueled trucks without any subsidies – an industry first that is breaking a key barrier to large scale fleet adoption. The company is collaborating with Workhorse Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:WKHS) to design the vehicles from the ground up, with zero tailpipe emissions.

UPS Names Christiana Smith Shi To Board Of Directors

UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced that its board of directors has named Christiana Smith Shi as a UPS company director effective immediately.

Shi, age 58, is the founder and principal of Lovejoy Advisors, LLC, an advisory services firm helping to digitally transform consumer and retail businesses. Previously, she served as president of Nike Inc.’s Direct to Consumer business from 2013 to 2016, vice president of E-Commerce from 2012 to 2013, and chief operating officer for Global Direct to Consumer from 2010 to 2012.

Her appointment to the UPS board brings the total number of directors to 13. She will join the board’s Compensation Committee and Risk Committee.

UPS Board Announces Increased Quarterly Dividend

The UPS (NYSE: UPS) Board of Directors today declared an increased regular quarterly dividend of $0.91 per share on all outstanding Class A and Class B shares, an increase of nearly 10% over the prior dividend.

The dividend is payable March 7, 2018 to shareowners of record on Feb. 20, 2018.

UPS today announced the introduction of UPS Worldwide Express Freight™ Midday, an extension of the current UPS Worldwide Express Freight service, offering a commit time of 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. from all 71 origin countries to 35 key destination countries that represent over two-thirds of global GDP.

This addition to the UPS Worldwide Express™ package portfolio provides guaranteed, time-definite delivery for urgent, international palletized shipments over 150 lbs. Delivery is door-to-door in as few as 1-3 days, with customs brokerage included. UPS Worldwide Express Freight services include many of the same features as UPS Worldwide Express package service, allowing customers to leverage UPS speed, reliability, and visibility to reach global markets faster, now before end of day.
