UPS, Pilots Reach Tentative Agreement On New Labor Contract

Following Ratification Process, Would Go into Effect Sep 1, 2016

The Independent Pilots Association (IPA) and UPS Airlines (NYSE:UPS) today announced a tentative agreement on a new five-year labor contract.

The comprehensive agreement provides for improvements across all sections of the contract. Specific details of the agreement will not be disclosed before the IPA presents the proposed contract to all UPS pilots.

It is erroneous to assert or infer that UPS decided not to support the conventions due to the identity or position of a candidate. In fact, UPS made this decision before any candidate filed for election. It was not a political decision, by any means.
