  • Retaliation alleged against those who do complain
  • Company staunchly defends its safety policies
After a worker fell from a loading dock and broke his hip, pelvis, wrist, and elbow last December at a United Parcel Service branch in Manchester, N.H., company managers placed the injured employee on a package cart and rolled him to the parking lot where he was then taken to a hospital, according to a government report.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, contacted by UPS a day after the accident, alleged in a review of the incident UPS failed to maintain a safe workplace, and criticized the company in a narrative of the accident for “failing to call emergency services.” The report went on to state that moving the worker, who had “visibly broken bones,” endangered his life.

"Endangered his life" is a bit over the top but they sure in hell should not have picked him up like a side of beef, plopped him down on a flatbed and rolled him out to the parking lot before loading him in to a supervisor's car and driving him to the hospital.

Really?

Did you get your medical degree during your hiatus? For instance, a broken rib could have punctured a lung.

The truth never changes.
Do that and they will walk you out the door as soon as you are cleared to return to work.
And when osha gets done with the company you'll reap thousands of dollars on top of your back pay, made whole in every way, and there will be a pretty good settlement. You are stupid.

bs I saw someone do it beginning of Nov
We had a driver slip and fracture his knee. He called an ambulance and the company could not touch his job.
Years later hes still a driver.

UPSTATE is just a retired blow hard loser that cant find real meaning in life so he wags his ignorant tongue on here.

Article loaded with truth about the oppressive, “fear” based injury reporting/safety culture that is prevalent at UPS.
