Hey wait a minute mister.... I thought that was my title!Queerbait!
You're the one who claimed it would increase the tax base, not me Given that one has to wonder what impact Bezos pending divorce could have had on the viability of the project. After all he wanted the immediate benefit of 3 billion in tax and service concessions but the payback was so far in the future and so uncertain political forces in the region were not prepared to take him at his word that he would make good on them.No Leroy!
I don’t give a duck about NYC and the dumbclucks that live there.
You want the numbers, get them you own friending self.
So you’re not that interested in the numbers if you have to go dig them up.You're the one who claimed it would increase the tax base, not me Given that one has to wonder what impact Bezos pending divorce could have had on the viability of the project. After all he wanted the immediate benefit of 3 billion in tax and service concessions but the payback was so far in the future and so uncertain political forces in the region were not prepared to take him at his word that he would make good on them.
And you're making claims in the absence of numbers to back them up.So you’re not that interested in the numbers if you have to go dig them up.
Figures
They aren't building warehouses in NYC. And the annual taxes produced would have helped average Joes, right? And it's a headquarters so how many secretarial, mailroom jobs, etc created? Hardly Park Ave types and they'd have to pay decent to compete for those workers in NYC. No?Just imagine how far that 15 dollar an hour job would go in the heart of NYC? Check out the news report including the those released by that evil communist pinko liberal CNBC. The only ones really getting hosed are the real estate speculators because most of jobs would have gone to the Park Avenue types while the Average Joe's would not see much of a benefit.
Quit being such a lazass and prove me wrong. And you're making claims in the absence of numbers to back them up.
I don’t need numbers to know New York is doomed. And you're making claims in the absence of numbers to back them up.
The only thing he cares about is Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world and he hates the super rich with a passion. Never mind that Bezos, Buffet, and Gates, amongst others, all lean Left.Quit being such a lazass and prove me wrong.
I understand how the tax incentives work so I don’t have to see “the numbers”.
You appear to be the ignorant one so you need to look the numbers up and understand them.
But, it appears you don’t mind being ignorant so do what you do.
They said that about it back in the 70's but the money kept on coming.I don’t need numbers to know New York is doomed.
Ok. So tell me since you are the self appointed resident expert on tax incentives when where and how big would the payback have been if the Amazon project had materialized.Quit being such a lazass and prove me wrong.

Oh mighty self proclaimed tax incentives expert I humbly beseech thee my master to enlighten me on such a noble subject thereby allowing me thy humble servant to better serve thee. .....Better yet, check out the article on CNBC regarding the future of tax and service concessions to big companies . What you call incentives I call corporate welfare that borders on blackmail.LOL
Damn! You are one serious dumbbutt!

It's not when the public sector has skin in the game and the New York H2 non completion could be the beginning of the end of it. In fact in one sense of the word it's another form of socialism when the public sector is involved. And I call it Capitalism.
I’ll think about and research that thought. It's not when the public sector has skin in the game and the New York H2 non completion could be the beginning of the end of it. In fact in one sense of the word it's another form of socialism when the public sector is involved.
No it's called government, which is for the common good. How you achieve the common good depends on whether you have an economic system that will provide the money for it all. Socialism isn't that system. It's not when the public sector has skin in the game and the New York H2 non completion could be the beginning of the end of it. In fact in one sense of the word it's another form of socialism when the public sector is involved.
do you know how much money in corporate welfare amazon is getting?Amazon.com Inc. said it’s axing plans to build a new corporate campus in New York City, bowing to fierce opposition from some residents and politicians and denying the city what the mayor and governor had called its biggest ever economic win.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio lobbied hard to bring the deal to the city, with the governor even jokingly offering to change his name. They touted the promise of as many 40,000 jobs in the city over the next two decades with an average salary of $150,000.
