Cove, I understand everything you are saying. My only point is pitching is different today, as with all sports they are more refined, more analyzed. Read Williams book, The Science of Hitting, I'm just not sure his career would have turned out the same in this era. Not a definitive statement, just wondering. As it stands, Williams is the best. My opinion.Not the hr power ted had , but he did hit a lot if dingers , what would these guys have done if not for the War !!
