Any Revenue Auditors out there?

A new system at UPS for billing this year as always. This week we have to measure everything. A new system takes out the OS1, OS2, OS3. Tonight we measured over 200 packages in just 1 hour. Are there any other revenue auditores out there dealing with this and do you have any info on this new billing system. My supervisors boss and even her boss does not know whats going on. Thats UPS for ya!

It would be wonderful to get a laser system that could measure a package while it moves through the system: include a scale system that would also get the correct weight and tie it all to the barcode. Imagine what the company would be worth if we could eliminate all the cheating that goes on.

The only ones I do something about are the customers I don't like. Otherwise I just let it go but not without saying "20 lbs huh? "

We have that in a lot of the hubs. It's called Dimensional weighting system. (Or DWS). It measures the Length, Width and Height of pkg. We used it for charging OS1, OS2, OS3 now it will be used for charging dimensional weight. There's millions of pkgs a day being audited by these machines and charging customers the proper rate based on size of pkg.
