Are all sorters lazy?

This below also applies to you as well @BigG. I posted this to some sup who thought a pt sup was a promotion and clearly you judge books by their cover. So please be the first to respond to this...

Answer these questions then tell me that is a promotion:

1. How much is your medical insurance as a pt sup?
1b. How much would your insurance cost as a loader?
2. What is happening to your pension in managment?
2b. Who still has pensions as i am writing this?
3. How many times can you call out or be late before you are fired for good
3b. How many times can a loader get fired and get their job back?
4. Who is protected by a contract?
4b. Who is protected by a contract?
5. What is your earning potential as pt sup
5b. What is your earning potential as a driver which would subsequently come as a loader then repeat questions 1-4 again...

So i ask you again, do you really think that a pt sup is a promotion?

Where's @RuthlessSupSlayer with his comparison of unloader vs. part-time sup positions?

Edit: Ah, he posted as I was writing!

It's funny b/c you all don't think I'm aware the faster you finish the more work you receive. I choose to go hard no one is making me. I talk with the 15 year UPSer all night long. I've heard about PT sups being the bitch of FT and managers. I'm not these weak PTs that are thin skinned. I've already received my degree and preparing for my master's.

My larger concern is that most people at UPS and on this forum have a terrible mindset imo b/c of the company culture. Which is said b/c we could have higher productivity if the company rewarded performance with monetary incentives. However that's not reality. UPS is a stepping stone while I pursue my true aspirations, but if I'm fortunate enough to move past PT sup within a decent time-frame I will consider making UPS a career.

You all get so antsy the moment you think someone is a stooge for brown. The sorters at my HUB are fairly lazy. I don;t ask them to help with hardware, send longs, or irregs but I'd like to help keeping my flow up if I choose to work at a faster pace.

Have a drink. The reason we bash is because we know how management is. They would sell you out in a heartbeat.

so you want your fellow union members to lose jobs? Well guess what cupckae that may mean you are the one who gets laid off. Then youll never see no automation.
i'm not with the union, my aunt whose been with the company for 20 years advised me not to. And furthermore I have heard murmurs from mgmt frustration with sorters lack of effort so I don't think i'm off base for anticipating some of them's departure.

if I'm going to be here I might as well try to be the giving the direction instead of taking direction all the time.
You think as a PT sup you're going to be king of the hill? You may indeed be over a handful of PT hourlies. How about all the FT management above you that is going to make your life miserable? And if they don't make THEIR numbers, guess who gets reemed out? That would be you, rook.

why an unloader? You can't read? Cant keep up with loading trucks? Flow too fast? Too many numbers and letters? Did you ever consider you arent good enough?
I have my Bachelors in Accounting, those numbers on sort aint :censored2:. One thing I know though, if I moved to sort then an unloader is backing me up I can't be mad b/c I did the same. Therefore I will not move to sort. Simple, I'd move to irreg if i want $1. It's more relaxed.

Who cares? Both my parents were in the military my entire life, you think I care about a FT or Sort manager chewing me out. What kind of bitch are you. "He's going to yell at me" NOOOOO pusillanimous

You are working towards a Master's degree but brag about how fast of a $10/hr unloader you are?
