Battle Creek man dies after crash with UPS truck - WZZM 13

The crash was reported at 1:01 p.m. on Bellevue Road west of Pine Lake Road. Deputies said the SUV driven by the man was eastbound and struck the rear of an eastbound United Parcel Service truck which had slowed to make a left turn into a driveway.

The UPS truck was spun around 180 degrees and slid off the north side of the roadway. The SUV turned onto its side.

The female driver of the UPS truck was not hurt. Another delivery van was brought to the scene and packages were moved from the damaged truck.

If she was following Orion, will Orion get a warning letter?

Glad our driver is OK but not a good deal for anyone regardless of fault.

Sad for the man's family. Thoughts for them and our driver. Glad she's ok physically emotionally this is bound to take a toll.

Orion has nothing to do with this. Might just as well suggest the customer get a warning letter for ordering the package.

Sounds like he was not paying attention. The only way I could see hitting this driver with an avoidable would be if she had pulled out in front of the guy from a side street or driveway without giving him sufficient time to stop. That's does not seem to be the case here.
