He also gambled at least a thousand dollars a day on pull tabs (he owned a very successful beer/pop/snack distributorship). He burnt the candle at both ends because his great grandpa had died at 52- his grandpa died at 52 and his dad had died at 52 so he always believed 52 would be it for him too. He made it to 69.
