What is happening is that in recent years output from ageing wells that supply the Alaskan oil pipeline have been slowly declining. The Willow project is being seen as replacement for that declining production . Haven't heard if it will be transported by tanker or tied into the pipeline. It will however take at least a decade to bring production into the market. By that time EV could begin to impact the demand for oil.Biden better start pumping all that new Alaska oil soon.
