If the object is to rise the poor out of poverty, socialism won't do it. We've been trying that with tremendous failure since LBJ's great society program 50 plus years ago.
One could argue the poor people in America have one of the best standards of living for poor people in the world. I’m not sure why you think that’s a failure. Would you prefer poor people suffer more? Would increased desperation hurt or help our society?

Ok, we will see if the march to cradle to grave socialism works. My money is on inflation and unemployment.
Inflation and unemployment are easy to control in a socialist system, that should be pretty obvious. Even in social democratic countries, inflation and unemployment are usually negligible.

But yeah, we're talking about the Democratic Party's plans, not socialism or social democracy, and I think rising prices and unemployment are coming, the former mostly the result of Biden's policies.

Will his big government-socialist "Robin Hood" economic plan of heavily taxing high earners and companies in order to redistribute to others, work or backfire?

you have no understanding of how democratic party works.

the progressives or socialists are too afraid to take a stance. if they do they will end up like dennis kucinich for example which is out of a job because schumer and pelosi hold most of the real power within the party.

That's not true. We stopped doing that after the failures of the Great Society. Under Carter, existing social programs began to be cut or undermined and that was the continued trajectory until, to some small perverse extent, the Obama years.

As someone who picks up cardboard boxes for money I think the rich people who basically don't work for a living should have more money not less. I am against Biden's plan.
bidens plan will give the rich more money bc thats who he serves. america has likely been giving hte rich more money for 50 years.

Twelve mansion's and 20 sports cars foster a whole lot more economic activity than welfare does.

Sorry but my money is not the government's. FREEDOM.

Take away investment and jobs go away.
no bc ppl on welfare spend their money.

the rich just sit on it and it doesnt generate jobs. they park it overseas for example.

Corporation's will raise prices or move operations to combat higher tax rates. Goodbye American jobs.
they have left america anyways because you cant compete with poor 3rd world labour conditions. its a joke. ur not supposed to compete with that crap, but you fell for it.

socialism will make us rich. instead of employers telling workers what to do and paying them poorly to get rich off them, the workers will all own their jobs and decide how much to pay themselves.

govt assistance made the rich well off. the banking sector only exists because of govt assistance. it can do the same for the poor.
