Bonus Centers

We can never run scratch with the whacked numbers the company uses. I can have a good day and still be a good hour and a half over. Guaranteed the bonus numbers are house vig. They win every time.
If you are making too much bonus they will adjust your numbers to reduce it. Unless you are one of their "special" people.

A couple years ago there was special Union meeting for delivery drivers to see if there was any interest in ending bonus. No one wanted to give up free money and the opportunity to get off work early.
My center had bonus and voted it out. The few special people cried but the majority saw all the problems it caused.

Free money? I can't understand how the company can be so giving, so benevolent only in bonus centers? They must care.

Not so much caring outside the bonus arrangement...

I average around 6 hours of OT and 2-5 hours of bonus a week, bonus is paid at the OT rate, i don’t run, follow the methods, some days I run over, our center hasn’t had a lost time accident or injury in over a year. Haters gonna hate
Bonus is not paid at overtime rate.. Smh..

It depends on the center. Mine paid the first 20 minutes at straight time by trying to say they were paying back your ten 10 minute breaks and wouldn't do it at overtime. That was grieved and they eventually changed it to all at OT. Which made more sense to anyone not trying to use the management's twisted logic. Then we voted out the whole mess so was no longer an issue.

They want the pick up volume back early so Feeders can make their pull times and get the PT off the clock. Remember PT jobs used to pay the same as FT jobs.

That’s all it is. And stupid suckers run their balls everyday chasing an elusive number that never pays as much as it should. Absolute imbeciles.

Not necessarily. Last week I got a fat 300+ bonus on my check and worked a cool 35-39 hours. (dont' want to reveal exact details on here.) I don't run at all. I just work at a steady pace and don't spend it talking to every customer I come in contact with.

Where I'm am, working 40 hours translates to UPS time of 32.5 hours.

Drivers in bonus centers that pay straight time are getting screwed out of about $99/week if they average one hour of bonus per day. Per year is over $4500 for a driver with six weeks of vacation. Doesn’t sound like bonus to me.

Bonus centers at OT are slightly better but the time allowances go up for those routes just as easily. If not easier.

Factor in the hour of lunch they worked for free and two and half hours setting up the truck and they are now operating in the red.

It wasn't til I went to feeders that I saw how much time some of these guys were working off the clock. I'd be walking out the gate between 0530 and 0600 and I'd see a couple bonus drivers I knew from delivery coming in to start setting up their trucks. Pretty crazy.

I’d rather have breakfast with my family, maybe workout a little, occasionally get some things around the house done. Oh well.

You ever get tired of being wrong?
Two hours before work setting up truck. A hour clocked out for lunch and working through it. That right there is three hours of not being paid. 1.5 an hour would take 3 hours of bonus time a day to just even out. If you are figuring that they always have overtime. Then they would have to have 6 hours of bonus a day to even out.
So yeah I always enjoy being wrong...

I thought this to be the case but some here never lose at the casino.

Come on now, all that extra time is nothing, they are screwing over the company!
