Can a UPS driver get fired for this?

Barking and body language of the offending dog is the key... hair on the spine standing up is a dead giveaway.

Makes for easy DRs the next time.

Driveway, front gate, behind the mailbox, whatever. From that point forward, that is your new DR spot.

I let the homeowners know they have two choices.

1. Accept the new DR spot

or

2. Pick their :censored2: up at the customer counter.

All the dogs around my route are friendly. There’s this one chocolate lab at a house I deliver to every day that runs out to my truck with a tennis ball. I’ll play fetch with him for a bit. The dog’s owners secretly took a video of me playing fetch with him last week. The next day they showed me the video and asked me if they could put the video on social media, I asked them not to.

It might be good PR for UPS having a video of a driver being friendly with a customer’s pet. But I didn’t want to risk the chance of management looking at it as a driver screwing around on the clock, especially during peak.
