I'm currently starring in my own one man show restoring clapped out PCs sent up here from California. Amazing some of them made it here seeing how bad they were leaking. Looks like they gave up on them years ago and did the absolute minimum to keep them moving.

Then again, some brand new ones have failed to make it here.

I would get the running gear and the suspension top notch and leave the body in all it's patina glory.


If I ever do a full restore I've done it before and enjoy the work.

They did one up on Wheeler Dealers and put one of those stupid horns on it. The Brits don't understand. I'd settle for a straight Satellite or Belvedere.

I paid $1,100 to have my deck extended. I don't enjoy it any less knowing that I didn't lift a finger, other than to write the check, to have the work done.

I paid people to do my deck too. Mainly because it's a deck ,cobblestone patio actually, and that does not bring out the love and passion that a beautiful automobile does. You couldn't get me to lift a stone for my deck. I've shed blood for a car.

I love doing hardscapes, stone, brick, cobble, etc.
I have no patience to work on cars. I could never do body or paint work. (Ive done a couple of my work trucks & the results sucked).
I'd love to see pics of your el Camino. Those were cool cars.

Some have a passion for automobile work. Even more so classic cars. I also landscaped while working part time at ups and have a passion for that. However you couldn't pay me enough to clean my house or paint it. All depends on the person and what they are doing.

Very nice. I love those El Caminos and Chevelles from around those years. I had a 67 Malibu I traded when I was young and stupid and still kick myself about.

The cars I kick myself about are the Camaro but maybe even more so the 68 Fairlane wagon I had. Particularly stupid of me to get rid of that one.

I had a 79 Camaro but that was hardly a classic. Nice car though. I loved those friend bodies.
