My guess is something in the flywheel is screwed up and it catches there. I'm not too concerned because it was a high school graduation gift and at 32 I'm still rocking it. In just a couple months I'm buying a new vehicle.

yeah now you're above my pay grade.Something hanging up at initial start up causing too much current through the armatures and burning dead spots into the commutator? Pushing it rotates the armature and it works until it stops on the dead spot again?
