The first time I ever went over a 100mph was with my uncle in his 1932 Plymouth Coupe with a big old Oldsmobile engine in it. It had no floorboards in it at the time and you could look down and see the highway screaming below.

I should add----no seatbelts at that time either. I was probably 8 or 9 at the time.

Reminds me a bit of a HS friend's Austin taxi with a 351W swapped in. The fire wall was cut so you could rest your foot on the valve cover.
One day the stock rear springs snapped and it pole vaulted into the ditch.
