CDC: Covid is not airborne. "Mistake"

I've been saying covid is a fake pandemic since March. Vindication is mine.

Calling it airborne is just fear mongering nonsense. Removing that word from CDC guidance was the right thing to do.
Airborne is how it is transmitted, breath to face. The question is, how far?

A lot of factors come into play like humidity, wind movement, and temperature. Surface transmission is far less likely.

Most transmissions are people in close range.

The mask helps prevent you from infecting others. Even that isn't 100 percent.

Without a vaccine all this saving lives talk is just bull. In the end, this virus will not die until a large percentage of the population is infected.

The problem is the virus particles are too small for most masks to stop. Masks can help but are more for show than effectiveness.

No real data on mask wearing, but some research suggests it may cut down on viral load, a lighter load meaning a less severe infection.

And how long does it stay in the air....

Just because it's transmitted via aerosols doesn't mean it should be classified as airborne. There isn't a consensus on when something is designated as "airborne". It's a term that does nothing but scare people needlessly.

Airborne usually refers to something that hangs around in the air. Not a flying gob of snot.

Masks catch droplets, but not aerosols. Once masks becomes saturated, after about 20 minutes of constant wear, aerosol expulsion increases significantly with every breath you breathe, so droplets that would have fallen harmlessly to the ground are being sprayed into mists of infectious particles that hang in the air for quite a while. This is why proper ventilation is far more important than anything else we could do in enclosed spaces.

Droplets are not the main vehicle driving the pandemic, aerosols are. This has been known and understood for months, but apparently ignored by the CDC and everyone pushing mask mandates. Large droplets that are caught by masks don't travel very far before dropping to the ground, and aren't very likely to actually go into other people's eyes, noses or mouths, especially if people cover their coughs and sneezes. Masks add no value whatsoever to prevention. Even if they did, if people generally aren't going to follow other guidelines, what makes anyone think they would wear masks correctly?
