I would make a very big deal about this. Challenge them on it right then and there. Embarrass whoever needs it. Make it memorable.

Wouldn’t matter one iota how big of a scene you make as a part timer at my hub. Take your little ass back and get a property pass. Full timer? In browns? Go ahead. They know we aren’t risking our 100K job over a measly little phone.
