Covid vaccine.

Non sequitur

As far as I've seen the vaccinated are still mostly protected from severe illness. Out of millions of vaccinated there will be breakthrough cases and severe illness as projected by the vaccine trials. Not everyone survived in those trials. There will still be sickness and death, especially for those with poor health.

Things could change rapidly, though. I hope you are wrong for the most part.
You get one last chance to discover the truth. And here it is.

Science requires them to hold demographics, bmi, lifestyle, and age as constant as possible in making such comparisons between vaccinated and unvaccinated.

They don't even try to do that.

Because they're anti-science.
You're overcomplicating this.

It's simple: those who are vaccinated and also hospitalized are far less likely to actually die in the ICU than those unvaccinated individuals who are admitted to the hospitals.

Science compares two like groups who only have one difference. That's the variable. You keep everything else as similar as possible. Because science.

Welcome to the 6th grade science fair. They don't even try to do this.

It's a simple observation.

You are largely protected from death and severe illness after full vaccination as compared to the unvaccinated population. It's not difficult.

Just like you're largely protected from heart disease if you eat 10-15x the fiber than the average American. It's a cause and effect relationship with total cholesterol. Simple observation.

People who get the flu vaccine are actually healthier people than those who don't. That's because healthier people tend to make that decision. So, when you compare outcomes, you can't really do it unless you specifically hold bmi and lifestyle and race constant.

You can have a healthy thin group of vaccinated people that end up better off than the fatty, lazy unvaccinated who have problems. But the difference isn't the vaccine.

That's why you have to do actual science and keep other things constant. Because science.

And they don't even try it.

They figured these problems out during the vaccine trials.

The vaccine boosts antibodies that find and destroy the virus before it wreaks havoc on the lungs, etc. That's a fact.

I hear you about causality and what causes what. You're clearly a bright individual.

It does not.

Support your claim.

You may not need the shots. But Delta is a wild card with its overall infectiousness. I wouldn't want to catch it unprotected and potentially miss work. Do what you want, of course.

The vaccine doesn't make them healthier. But healthier people get it.
The vaccine helps the body produce antibodies that help keep you healthy when you encounter the virus later. That's why the unvaccinated are more likely to experience severe illness and death. This is a simple fact. Don't overcomplicate this.

It's common knowledge. Healthy people are generally also the people who do whatever their doctor says or buy the party lines about stuff. The vaccine doesn't make them healthier. But healthier people get it.
You cannot support your claim.

There is no such thing as common knowledge.
