someone posted this about Rocky and his wife..........
We should all take this to heart !

I’d like the memory of us
to be a happy one.
we want to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
We'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
we’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun.
Don’t grieve for us, for now we're free
We're following the path God has laid you see.
we took His hand when we heard him call
and turned our backs and left it all.
we could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
we found that peace at the close of day.
If our parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
our life’s been full, we savored much
Good friends and goodtimes
Perhaps our time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted us now; He set us free

From the promised LAND
its at times like this you realize the importance to tell those you love that you love them. you never know when it will be your last time.

God bless the family!

Ditto on that, d. Here's one thing you can say, they died doing what the loved. May God grant peace to their families that are suffering the loss, as well.

Danny,
After having to endure the news of 7 friends and family members passing away this year, I agree totally with your post.
May perpetual light shine upon them.
Amen

It's always the "great guys" that this kind of thing happens to. Beach-UPSer, tell his family there's a lot of people thinking of them.

LIFE IS ENTERNAL

"Life is eternal," the good Lord said,
so do not think of your loved one as dead
For death is only a stepping-stone
to a beautiful life we have never known,
A place where God promised man he would be
eternally happy and safe and free.
A wonderful land where we live anew
when our journey on earth is over and through.
So trust God and doubt Him never,
for all who love Him live forever,
And while we cannot understand
just let the Savior take your hand,
For when death's angel comes to call
God is so great and we're so small....
And there is nothing you need fear
for faith in God makes all things clear.
:angel2::angel2:
Life is eternal and love is immortal, and death is a gateway--an entrance and portal-- into a life that no man can envision, for God has a greater perspective and vision.

Death Is the Gateway to
Eternal Life

Death is just another step
along life's changing way,
No more than just a gateway
to a new and better day.
And parting from our loved ones
is much easier to bear,
When we know that they are waiting
for us to join them there.
So death is just a natural thing
like the closing of a door.
As we start upon a journey to a
new and distant shore.
And none need make this journey
undirected or alone,
For God promised us safe passage
to this vast and great unknown.
So let your grief be softened,
and yield not to despair,
You have only placed your loved one
in the loving Father's care.
:angel2::angel2:
Death is not sent as punishment, It is a graduation to glory! And even though in this instance, death came in a cruel, inhuman way, God had taken their souls before the cruelty of death was even apparent to them. You must realize that they rose unencumbered to meet God, and they are safe and free where all the problems of this restless, violent world will no longer disturb their beautiful minds.

God Bless the family, friends and be with them to help guide them through there troubled days before them my thoughts and prayers will be with all of you...

IN VINO VERITAS
As a fellow rider, that is my worst nightmare.

My family is praying for his family.

TB
I ride as well TB and I could not agree more. I have been down because of a motorist pulling out in front of me.

How sad and I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to all involved.
