This is absurd on the face of it.

I'm glad you think it is absurd but that's the narrative peddled by antifa, some of BLM's leadership and a good deal of the media outlets. A bunch of white college kids with little to no life experience have been told by their gender studies teachers that they are part of a power system that inherently favors whites over blacks and that every white person, by virtue of their skin color, is a beneficiary of that system and is responsible for slavery and black oppression . If you're white, the game is automatically rigged in your favor at the expense of minorities.

Oh yeah? He's written thoughtful books on the subject. What have you done?
I haven’t read or heard sowell say anything about race that was thoughtful. It’s usually that racism isn’t that bad, and that the real issue is that there is something collectively wrong with the black race.

That's part of the issue. You have no idea. There's this disconnect between average working black Americans and the antifa/blm collegiate whites who have taken control of the movement and have been indoctrinated at the college level.

Look at a large portion of these protests/riots. What is the demographic? Heavily white millennials and Gen Z'ers out there "fighting for black people." In reality all they want is to tear the system down completely.

Their belief against USA Society is enumerated below and can be considered a definition of "systemic racism".
  1. “American life is structured around an advanced capitalist society.”
  2. “Government is organized to serve the needs of the capitalist ruling class.”
  3. “Criminal law and crime control protect the interests of the ruling class.”
  4. “Society is prepared to oppress the lower economic classes through any means necessary.”
  5. Only a society based on socialism will solve the crime problem.

Only a society based on socialism will solve the crime problem.

And the co-founder of BLM is a self-described, self-trained Marxist. BLM is a political movement. Always has and always will be.

The next time I hear Don Lemon say "BLM is only about police brutality" I'm going to take a sledgehammer to my TV. In fact, I'd argue BLM doesn't even care about average, working class black men unless they're trans, gay or killed by police, white men or a combination of each.
