Dems Plan To Raise Taxes

Republicans want to pay for it by “usage fees.” They want to tax the poor and middle class to pay for infrastructure instead of the corporations that use infrastructure for their private profit.
Your radical political party is saying we need to reimagine what infrastructure is, that healthcare and food stamps are infrastructure. Your tired old arguments were terrible before, now they're just completely irrelevant.

Wouldn't the corporations that use infrastructure pay those usage fees?
Not nearly as much. Say a warehouse’s staff mostly arrives at work through public transport. The workers will be paying the usage fees while the warehouse reaps the benefit of labor supply. Republicans want to tax the poor to bolster the profit of the rich.

Well let's hammer those greedy bastards who provide all the jobs! Bad enough union demands pushed many companies overseas. Y'all want to go after the ones who are left. And by the way, this is the U.S. With the exception of NYC most workers arrive by car. Now if you want to support decent public transportation options as your policies make car ownership untenable then maybe we'll have something.

Your vision has the country’s workers waiting for the wealth to trickle on to them while our roads and bridges crumble. It doesn’t work, it’s never worked, it never will work.

Your vision has the country's businesses absorbing the cost of tax increases without passing them on to customers. It doesn't work, it's never worked, it never will work .

Your guy and other leading Democrats have been in office for decades. Tell me with all the money they've spent why those problems weren't addressed? They've been in complete control a number of times including completely controlling Congress for a 40 year stretch. Their "infrastructure" bill does little to address those problems either but does does throw a lot of money at "social justice" projects. We had real social justice under Trump i.e. better environment for business that gave much more opportunity to minorities. Democrats noticed the minority flight towards Republicans and thus subjected us to the B.S. White supremacy narrative to keep minorities frightened and in the fold. Meanwhile roads and bridges still need work.

The trick to modern revenue raising is to find a pool of potential revenue whose owners lack the wherewithal to use legal loopholes and the mobility to move to a more hospitable tax environment. That means the middle class.

Biden’s tax plan includes provisions such as imposing a payroll tax on earnings over $400,000; increasing the top corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%; and restoring a top income tax rate of 39.6% for income above $400,000.

We shall see. By the way, $400k is middle class.

Last year’s $2.2 trillion CARES Act coronavirus relief bill also provided a new avenue for tax avoidance, according to ITEP, by including a provision allowing corporations to “carry back” losses to offset taxable profits in previous years. The think tank estimated that the 55 companies that avoided federal income taxes in 2020 “enjoyed at least $500 million of tax brakes last year from the CARES Act provision liberalizing loss carrybacks.”

If those 55 companies had paid the statutory 21% corporate tax rate on their 2020 profits, their collective tax bill last year would have amounted to $8.5 billion, ITEP said. Instead, they received a combined $3.5 billion in tax rebates.

COMPLETELY out of touch with reality...You state MOSTLY, such as more than 51% or more.
You need additional programming from your handlers.....This is a "least-intelligent" comment that makes everything after it a bunch of bull :censored2:!
