But you are 100% correct it's not good and should be dealt with appropriately if anything illegal was done. Every last person in Washington should answer to authorities if they break the law.

There were some who wanted to. They probably figured they wouldn’t get a conviction in the Senate. And of course once a president sets a precedent like that or not indicting a sitting president, in time the president seems to become untouchable.
