Anyone ever do a pickup that had no pieces (you've already opened the rear door), so you jump back in the cab quick and go. Then once you get to your next stop and open the bulk head you see the street behind you through the truck

My first peak, part of the route was a 52 stop industrial metro. Had a new baby at home, was not getting much sleep. That happened twice. Just backtracked and picked up any pieces that fell out. Thats when i figured just chain the door everytime. Better than loosing pieces.

Honest. I did this every day right up to my last day in 08. Get in the car, turn on the lights,
turn on the 4 ways, turn on the wipers. Circle the car checking all the lights and signals. Kick
all the tires checking for flats. Open the fuel cap to make sue the car had been fueled and tank
topped. Make sure the rear door was secured. No chains on the smaller cars. Obviously, a thing of
the past. Although I don't know why.
