File all you want, but you might want to know the contract language.

This language is universal.... here it is, from your supplement.

The guarantee shall not apply:

"2. When there are conditions beyond the Employer’s control such as fire, flood, destruction, strikes, snow storm or Acts of God, and these conditions cause a curtailment of all or part of an Employer’s operation."

Maybe just an "atta boy" ?

He doesn't have a grievance, and is just uninformed.

OP;

Get a contract book. It's also available @ Teamster.org.

You're 100 percent right but how often does management follow the contract

BigUnionGuy

Got the T-Shirt
Dead lock it to the panel and really :censored2: with them lol

Unfortunately, it's not up to him.

I'd be surprised if an experienced BA would take this up.

Ya but when they :censored2: with you don't you feel like :censored2:ing with them?

I guess he has to get his feet wet, sometime.

Depending on where you are.... as little as possible.

Right again but it would be entertaining at the local level hearing for him to try. No ba would take that to the panel you would lose credibility. Then he could file a failure to represent with dol and piss everyone off at the same time lolol

That would make him popular.

My Local has a disclaimer on the grievance form that states by signing it,

"you grant to the Union the complete authority to negotiate and bargain on your behalf,

and agree to be bound by such disposition."

If someone really pushes for a panel decision, you inform them they will need

to be present, and then give the Union Chair a heads up so you don't

look like an idiot.

Jkloc420

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge
That's why you should have an emergency fund. But i get tired of preaching to people.

They have 50k vehicles but can't afford to put anything into a 401k or take a sick day because they don't get overtime.
i go to your house

That's exactly how I would handle it. I never denied anyone a deadlock to the panel especially a discharge even for stealing. I would just explain like you said before hearing I'm protecting myself it happens a lot as you know

Someone texted me not sure if supervisor or not. That there is no work on Monday. (I live in Florida? Can I file for my 8 hours?

If there is no work on Monday, then there's probably no one there to approve your time for the day. Unless you plan on dragging someone into work to approve your timesheet, not worth the effort. If your affected by what happened in Florida, you can try to request some of the funding UPS donated for relief efforts. I don't how that process works exactly but I'm sure corporate could guide you. I hope this helps.
