Nothing will change until advertisers demand the broadcasting of truthful and accurate information. Even if it comes at the expense of viewership. Right now all they care about is reaching the largest number of consumers at the lowest possible cost. The broadcast network and program content means nothing to the advertiser. Right now big bang for small bucks is all they care about.

i doubt advertisers or media conglomerates will change their ways and self regulate for the good of society.

Back in 1987 a bill passed in Congress called the Fairness Doctrine. A bill that required broadcasters to tell all sides of an issue from all vantage points....Reagan vetoed it and Congress failed to override it....That's when what you see today got underway.

My county government publishes the names and sometimes the photos if they have them of all the child support absconders they have warrants out for in an effort to try to track them down.
