I was used as the scapegoat many times by different managers in my career. Several times they made me the unlucky idiot to drop off the "missing " replacement items. I took many insults from people for something that I had no control over. In some case they thought I was the Supervisor whom they had screamed at over the phone and wanted to continue it at their door. Ring bell, give them the parcel and run out of there very quickly.
