Way more fun than I would have thought. Plus, plus, if I am a DD, I drink for free.
I don't know about you but I can't drink a dozen Cokes----------------------------------------------------unless they are diluted with whisky.

Ginger ale, fruit punches, and really good root beer are my go to when out and about. In our area, 1919 is getting to be more and more available.

I quit drinking when my oldest daughter was less than a year old. They grew up knowing how to have fun without drinking, which made college and all that goes with it, that much easier for them.

I would say a few beers would be healthier for you than all that sugar. I had a good friend who distributed 1919 --- great taste but damn --its got diabetes written all over it.

Is this normal?
I used to deliver to a VFW and the bar tender (old timer) told me that the guy that used to do the route years prior had it for 20+ years. He used to make it his last stop every day. As soon as the bartender heard the truck in the parking lot, he'd pour the guy his regular: a shot and a beer. He'd have that and head back to the barn. The good old days.

I honestly don't get the whole drinking all the time thing. I like to have a few beers on the weekend but never during the week. This job is hard enough without the added dehydration and fatigue all the time. Im boring as :censored2: though. In bed at 1030 every night.

For what it's worth before I get off my soapbox, drinking is known to cause anxiety, anxiety which makes you dread going to work, fatigue which makes you more prone to crashes or injuries. People who don't take care of themselves will never understand that by eating right, sleeping, staying hydrated, some extra structured weight training, makes you extremely less anxious and depressed. It literally changes your brain and your personality to where you live a life with more energy and a better attitude towards everything. Stress management is on a whole different level.

I had one beer and smoked one joint on the clock in 30 years. Both times I was paranoid up the wazoo thinking customers knew it. I'm not saying I didn't report for work in the mornings a few times with a nasty hangover and probably still over the legal limit but those times I just didn't care what the customers thought. :-)

im a lost cause bro

No one is ever a lost cause brother.

I know you're joking but help is always out there and I have a ton or respect for the people that seek it. It's not easy for anyone admitting they have a problem with anything. Takes a lot of courage.

Now back to current events with you!
