Did you forget it was a republican president that left this country in a total economic collapse and 2 unnecessary wars?
I'll give you Iraq, but Afghanistan was necessary. And just about every Democrat was on record saying we need to remove Hussein. The difference between Democrats and a Republican like G.W.B. is he really meant it. That's a major reason Republicans will win back the Presidency.

Afghanistan was not necessary. Finding Bin Laden was and Bush couldn't or didn't want to. As far as Iraq, well we are seeing right now just how necessary it was to remove Hussein.

Vantexan : are you trying to tell me that Bush 41 served 2 terms? Remember Clinton was a minority president for 6 of his 8 years in office same with Obama. A good politician can read the tea leaves. People were so down on Clinton for signing the Brady bill but he knew that he didn't have the votes to sustain a veto. Tell you another little story. People were so angry because he refused to get involved with the 97 UPS strike but Clinton knew that if he ordered the Teamsters back to work the Teamsters had federal judge standing by waiting to slap Clinton with an injunction and Clinton wasn't about to be embaressed like that.

Have you not watched "Zero Dark Thirty?" The hunt for Bin Laden started long before Obama came to power and his administration sat on it's hands for a couple of years before finally sending in the Seals. Of course this is the President who drew a "red line" in Syria. It's been Obama's lack of backbone that's turned Iraq and Syria into a mess.

There was no hunt for Bin Laden during the Bush years. We could have focused our resources on him instead of Iraq and Afghanistan but Bush chose not to.

When did I ever say 41 served two terms? And remember '94 was called the "Year of the Angry White Male" for a reason. The same anger is out there now, and even more so. People want jobs, and they want security. What they don't want is another President lying to them.

There absolutely was a hunt for Bin Laden. His ultimate demise was the result of CIA work during both the Bush and Obama administrations. The reason "Zero Dark Thirty" didn't get nominated for best picture was Hollywood punishing it's director and producers for telling the truth about Obama's hindrance of the investigation.

True, but what they don't want is a President looking them in the eye and saying "If you like your plan....". He sold the public on Obamacare by flat out lying, and it's affected our wallets. Meanwhile finding meaningful work that'll pay for it all seems out of reach for millions.

They couldn't find one man for 7 years? Really?

They couldn't because our supposed ally in Pakistan was hiding him. Bin Laden was no fool and was extremely careful about staying hidden. Took extremely brilliant CIA work to find him, work that started well before Obama.

Trade one liar for another if it makes you feel better. Same as it ever was.

Bin Laden was no fool, but Bush sure was.

If you want to blame ISIS on someone, why not blame the architect surveyor that drew the middle east borders?
Obviously putting Shiites and Sunnis together made all of this inevitable. But in the short term Obama not following the Pentagon's advice and completely withdrawing from Iraq created this monster.

Whether you are a Republican, a Democrat or an indepent voter, the same ugly realitiy still stands. The diminishing power of the American presidency. No matter the idealogy one fact remains. This is January 2016 not August 1945 and a far more complex world.None of the presidential candidates has a clear vision for the nation's future. Listen to them. All of them speak in platitudes to his or her politcal base and instead of this being January 2016 it's October 1962 and if any one of the candidates found themselves in the oval office they would crack under the pressure Kennedy alone had to endure.
