Fighting the High Cost of Retirement

Bacha, life is short. You may be planning to live until 120 but I doubt I'll make 80. That's less than 19 years. If I die, I die. I'd rather do it my way than have my life controlled by a boss in a meaningless job until it's then controlled by a nursing home staff. If the time comes that I'll need fulltime care I'll move to the Philippines and have a young maid look after me in exchange for a salary, room, and board.
And just exactly how much medical knowledge will that person have? If you require them to have something in the way of medical knowledge and training in a country where few standards of care exist and you accept the fact that the treatment of your symptoms and pain remediation will likely be second rate at best then that might be a good place for you. After all in your case as it is with many others the only person you have to count on is yourself.

This isn't white trash hooterville we're talking about. As I've pointed out before I've had half million dollar motorhomes parked next to me. RV parks are a lot different than mobile home parks.
Then make sure you get in one and with a unit that would be somewhat comparable to what's already in there if you want to be accepted as a member in good standing with the rest of the tenants .

There's good healthcare in the Philippines. Or Thailand. Or Malaysia. Medical tourism is a real thing.

Again you demonstrate a lack of knowledge about RV parks. I can buy a new, perfectly acceptable travel trailer for $35k, even less.

This comment made me curious so I looked it up. Over the quality of care is good but it depends on where you're located within those nations, the treatment class you fall into and again you still have to have a way to pay your bills before you leave the facility.

True, but it costs much, much less than the States.

With the exception of those set for life it's all a question how how long your money and health holds out. And from a health standpoint much of that is determined by heredity .
If you can't pay you die. That's life. In Mexico for example you can pay for private plans something like $70 a month. That gets you treatment for just about anything in a private hospital by well trained, English speaking doctors. If it's something you'd prefer done in the States there's always Medicare.

Who is ‘we’? You? Show yours if it is something everyone should have access to.
No one asked for @vantexan taxes. He freely admitted he was in arrears.
I admitted to being behind because of Bacha's accusations. Didn't stop you from bringing it up. Frankly I don't get people who demand so much from others but are fine with our government spending huge amounts of money on things like paying off student loan debt of people who have good paying jobs. Anything to get votes and stay in power I guess.
