I bought my house in the early 90's 8% for a 30 year and 7 and 3/4 for a 15. And that was the best rate with A1 credit.

That's insane I couldn't imagine.

I started driving this November, and just signed a loan for this house TODAY! first time home buyer.

We all talk about how ty UPS is, but I just wanted to post this for maybe some inspiration for guys starting off. Im 30..just married and a newborn at home so this is huge for me.


I started in the warehouse 6 years ago..worked 2-3 jobs the whole time and just kept telling my self.."hard work pays off" hard work pays off..IT HAS TOO!?!? well I guess it finally did.

Keep workin kiddos!! it sucks but a lot of people work just as ty jobs for half the pay . It could always be worse.

Sure did. And paid it off early.
I still remember drivers saying they was happy with 15% during the late 70's and early 80's.

Can I ask about how much your house was?? That's crazy. Makes me think that I could buy my first house a bit sooner then I thought..But I want at least a $15K- $20K down payment, myself.

ya..I only paid like 124k the seller paid the rest for closing costs
