our center is out of room already

We already have a "doghouse" off one of the doors by our air sort. Has 20 or so routes loaded out there. And for about 3 weeks have had a "village" set up in the parking lot next door. Another 30 or so routes out there. They run trailers and Uhauls of work out all morning, poor bastards don't leave until at least 10 every morning.

It's mid November, we're screwed. If only we knew this was coming...

It wouldn't be like this if Ups grew a set of balls and told amazon to piss off. Without Ups to deliver their crap, amazon would be :censored2:ed! But Ups, the company that has been in business for over 100 years, is bending over backwards for a company that is actively trying to take over the whole industry and siphon off our customers.

That would help. Here's the thing at least that I see. They still don't want preload there long enough to do the work. You can pay a part time work force half of what you pay drivers to stand around and load.

Bring them in early enough to do the work to have everything wrapped. Instead, they want preload starting with not enough people on the shift not early enough. It's dark at 5 here, drivers shouldn't be leaving past 9. Maybe 9:15 on a bad day. As a former preloader, put the hours into preload to get drivers out on time. It would cure many problems and getting us out on time gets pickups back and keeps momentum rolling.
