As reported earlier today by CNBC Ford will announce a partnership with Postmates and Autonomic to work on the development of autonomous delivery vehicles. About all a person can do at this point is to read the article and keep an eye out for future press release's from the parties involved.

The French Revolution ended pretty badly for the aristocracy. I wonder exactly what they expect people to do to survive without work?

The globalists like Mark Zuckerberg have talked about giving people a base wage every month........since we'll be unemployed and all. You'll need money to buy their garbage, but you won't have a job to buy their garbage (because they put you out of work with their robots), so they will give you a base wage each month. I don't see how that will work. Taking the "labor for money" out of the equation throws economic and societal models out of wack.

Good point. One fact still remains. The American economy will still be driven by one overriding force. The ability of poor people to get credit. Take away their ability to get it, you take away the market you meant to serve.

If the success of your business hinges on the availability of poor people to get credit, you are in the wrong business.

I once read that 70% of the US economy is consumer spending. The ability of poor people to get credit is a major driver of that segment. If you were a defense contractor or something similar it wouldn't matter. Consider too the fact that many state governments are dependent on sales taxes to fund a major share of state government operations. No credit. No sales. No sales taxes.

The inability of poor people to pay for that credit is a major reason why you're making little sense. The credit that poor people get is the kind offered by Rent-A-Center, Earl's Buy Here Pay Here Lot (HOME OF THE SECOND, THIRD, AND FOURTH CHANCES FOR GOOD PEOPLE!!), Kustom Wheelz Rent-to-Own for Le$$, and my personal favorite...

I didn't say good credit or bad credit. It's about being turned down flat . Whether they went to a bank or a thrift better known as barely legal loan sharks they still somehow managed to get credit and some people will still pay that outrageous interest no matter what. But regardless of your obvious disdain for people who comprise this segment of society they are still participating in the economy despite working from a huge disadvantage . Some of it is their own fault for being in that position for some it isn't.

Poor people. They are integral to corporate profits yet so many want to look down their nose at them. "I'm offended you're not as wealthy as I, now get out there and work for $9hr so I can get wealthier."
