the pollsters are not doing their side any favors by cooking the polls like this. their trying to demoralize the right but may cause the left to stay home. watch the polls suddenly "tighten" as pollsters change their sampling and trying to get their polls closer to reality before election day.

in 2016 the polls did the same thing and had Hillary up by double digits. Until the last few days before the election with they tried to cover their asses by cutting her lead in half. The only accurate polls were disregarded as outliers. This is why take what Five ThirtyEight says with a grain of salt because they average all polls - whether accurate or not.

538 had tons of articles about the possible path to a Trump win. They were spot on, the articles are still all available. You don’t have to continue to lie when the evidence is readily available.
