Go back part time?

Your health insurance must be better than mine. This place is not worth going back part time. What a union we have to not even try to create me a job. Yes I work in a small center but they have more than enough work for me. Now I regret joining union

If there's enough work for you to get FT hours, ask your business agent about it and why they won't fight to keep you FT.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Good luck whether you choose to stay and go PT, try to fight for a compromise that keeps you full-time, or quit and find work elsewhere.

With a pre-existing condition?

Wonder if he could be considered laid off from ft driving due to his medical condition? If so, he would then displace 2 pt employees?
OR, could he put in for an ADA accommodation, due to the fact it might be considered a disability due to the seizure (and possibly unknown future seizures) affecting his quality of life?
Breathe a sigh of relief he was not driving at the time of the seizure, as it could have resulted in a very serious disaster!

The list of employers eager to hire someone with a debilitating pre-existing condition like epilepsy can fit on a post it note.

Work with your BA and supervisor to see if the Company is willing to either create a 22.3 for you or let you double shift at your current pat rate on the inside.

I don't think potential employers have the right to ask you about any medical condition.

Thanks for the replys. I will do what I have to do for my family. I know something better is out there for me

Exhaust all your options and inquiries with HR, union, management before you bail out. Don't rely exclusively on the replies you receive here.

I'm sorry about what is happening. Good luck.
