Grace period

Hey guys my brother just started at ups and he wasn't sure when his grace period was over for the union because they make him pay an itiation fee. Also do they swear in member as I've heard they do with IBEW? If anyone has any info please let me know thanks guys

If he's paying $$ to the union then he's in.
The only swearing you'll hear from the union is when its contract renewal time.

Yes they do swear you in, but they will do it at a local meeting. I haven't been sworn in per se because our local meetings are 2 hrs away and I haven't gone to one.
