HELPERS TOMORROW!?

We were informed there will be helpers tomorrow. Any of you other drivers hear this? We are all so screwed this peak.

Why do you say that? Load the truck up now and all I'm doing is driving around to get the bulk off. Since it's not tight like peak, it will be their numbers that get screwed.

Are these helpers from your part timers in your building? Double shifting, they may make driver wage since its outside of peak?

Deplorable.
For those of you with driver release routes, the earlier the better with helpers. I suggest writing down your stop counts early on in peak when they give you a helper, though. This way, when you're given that same stop count in the dead of summer without a helper, you'll be able wave it in their faces as you file 9.5 and there won't be anything they can do or say.

Conversely, they may also give you a line of :censored2: saying "we need to work the helpers" even though your stop count is low. This is not at all true. Seasonal Helpers that have not made book (and that's all of them) are NOT entitled to an hourly guarantee. If you do not get your guaranteed 8 or they otherwise try to Code 5 you, this is grieveable as well.

You mean they are running helpers at your center too?

RTW doesn't mean anything in this case.
No. The response was to "Brown Texas" who said he wished they'd use helpers because there would be a stack of grievances. And I don't see how RTW is relevant either. That's why I mentioned it.
