Looks like it is time for some individual responsibility.
I planned and saved and I have 4 sources to fund my retirement ... and I could live (Spartanly) on any one of them.
My sacrifices when younger are making for a comfortable retirement.
Part of the problem is,everyone thought they was going to get what was promised.

I understand that. Too many guys thought we was going to get what we were promised. If they would have known their was a possibility of not getting their pension. They might have saved more.

Call it what you will but the thread did start a spirited discussion on the topic.
Just like social security. Many people have these calculated into their retirement numbers. Now somebody changes the rules at the last minute.

I would switch to domestic caviar.

1. Stock acquired in the form of a bonus from UPS, subsequently sold and diversified.
2. Company pension.
3. Company matched 401k up to 6%.
4. Rare Liberace memorabilia collection?
