There was a time I would never be able to understand why people just didn't go to work and do their job. Even when I worked we had a couple of slackers who totally abused the work comp system (usually over peak- imagine that). 98% of us showed up for work every day we were scheduled unless you were on your death bed. The way the company has disintegrated since going public I can now understand why employees have the work ethic they do. I don't believe I could ever work like that but I was raised in a different time.

In a way it annoys me sometimes.

Most times I don't care because I realize this company takes away a lot of our family times and if guys want to sacrifice making money to be with their kids then that's fine with me.

Have to work the day before or the day after.

That would depend on your supplement. In New England you just have to work one day of the holiday week and you'll get the holiday pay.

We have 5 guys in my center that use all 12 weeks of intermittent FMLA every year.

Most use back pain as the reason but there're 2 that use allergies.

Honestly I don't blame some of them. If you can afford it then go ahead.

That makes people with legit back, knee, and other physical or otw problems appear as liars,much worse. The gossip queens don't help

I doubt they actually have back pain. Like I said they all coach while on FMLA.

One guys makes sure to only work 1250 hours. He uses FMLA and Disability.

Why’s that? If they were injured and got cleared, doesn’t mean they won’t have chronic pain the rest of their lives. Some days are better than others when it comes to back issues.
