Honestly, just call or ask your belt / sort manager. It's really not a big deal and I'm sure they're not going to give you any grief over it. When my guys don't show up or come late, they always let me know so I can make preparations if need be. It's better letting someone know than to assume they know. The excuse I didn't know my guy was taking off today won't save me as a contractor any more than you saying I didn't know my time wasn't approved as a package handler. Good luck whatever you choose.
