How Does the White House Counter "Dissent" At Town Halls Meeting? Plants!

Why would you defend an absolute maroon who injects nazi sentiments towards a Jewish Senator....Some of these a-hole protesters deserve a taste of their own medicine. The 1st admendment not only applies to constituents, but to those elected as well. So why mfg a hissy fit when a citizen blurts out bogus/offensive allegations and gets challenged.

I believe the good senator is expected to exhibit leadership and restraint in his elected position as a servant of the people. As it is I've seen him in action enough to know that when the people question him on anything he quickly throws a hissy fit rather then answer the question.

P.S. The term hissy fit here was meant to be a descriptive term describing a specific action and was not in any way meant to be a slur on hissys or any other race or ethnicity....:)

I know its like a joke or something right?

so cheney and bush because you folks don't want to talk about Obama and biden screwing up the country right?

Like lets talk about Cheney running the country instead of Bush so we don't have to talk about Biden being a complete idiot right?

thats the real joke.:peaceful:

Aside from the trashing of the Constitution that took place, and the complete incompetence in basic governing that took place, there was the crony capitalism that took place. This was letting Enron write energy regulations, so they could manipulate the entire California market in 2001 and steal billions. Or letting Haliburton and its subsidiaries steal more billions in Iraq with no-bid contracts. Or the Medicare Part D giveaways to Pharma...

I am conservative to libertarian, but I get sick to my stomach watching hypocrites bleat "Patriotism" while trampling on the Constitution, and "Free Markets!" while bellying up to the public trough.

This administration has been in office exactly 7 months, after inheriting massive problems from the previous 8 years. So I am willing to give them a little more time to fix things. Like at least 4 years, maybe 8.

The one piece of advice I would give President Obama and his advisors: give up on the bipartisanship, already. It ain't gonna happen, so solicit ideas from them, incorporate the good ones, and the hell with trying to buy their votes by betraying your campaign promises.

Oops....almost forgot Blackwater:

http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1917759,00.html

I particularly liked this paragraph:
"I suspect that if the agreements are ever really looked into — rather than a formal contract, the CIA reportedly brokered individual deals with top company brass — we will find out the Blackwater's assassination work was more about bilking the U.S. taxpayer than it was killing bin Laden or other al Qaeda leaders. More than a few senior CIA officers retired from the CIA and went to work at Blackwater, the controversial private security shop now known as Xe Services. Not only did they presumably take along their CIA Rolodexes with them out the door, but many probably didn't choose to leave until they had a lucrative new contract lined up. But more to the point Blackwater stood no better chance of placing operatives in Pakistan's tribal areas, where the al Qaeda leadership was hiding in 2004, than did the CIA or the U.S. military."
Leeches, sucking our blood, wrapped in the flag and the cross....

If you are 'conservative to libertarian" then I don't understand how you could support Obama under any conditions.

Your silence speaks volumes. And no, it's not the race card. I just have never been able to understand Republicans. Remember when Alan Keyes ran for president? Every conservative commentator seemed so impressed. Hell, I was impressed. But he never did get even 1% of the vote. Never any explanation, just like tieguy. Can't even ask about his statements or it's "playing the race card".

I don't see a reason to respond to your contrived acts of offense. Someone who claims to be an advocate of diversity such as yourself should be intelligent enough to appeciate the diversity of expressions and slang they would experience around the country without crying racism. Once you make the charges of racism you have thrown up the ultimate white flag in taking the cowardly approach in defense of those issues you could not debate. At that time I take my victory and move on. :peaceful:

Because I look at what he is proposing, and a lot of it makes sense to me. Because I watched a so-called 'conservative' administration flub up everything they touched, while actually doing the exact opposite of what they claimed their values are. Since the Republicans have demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are incapable of principled action, I'm willing to give the other guys a shot.

Wherever I see Trump, it smells like he's Putin.
Bush is yesterdays news. It is time to move forward. I've asked several times "what has obama done?" and nobody has answered.

While its true that Bush is old news, its a bit like saying a fat man who ate doughnuts and sausage for eight years should be healthy already after 7 months of trying to decide what a more healthy diet might be. At least Obama is willing to take on these controversial issues and begin to move us closer toward a healthy diet, if he can just get congress to hammer it out. We are going to see these issues resolved I'm sure of it. It would be better if we do it quickly, but the country is scared from all the downturn and so it will likely take some time. Just like a sensible diet is a lifestyle change that won't work if you don't stick with it, healthcare needs to reformed from 'doughnuts and sausage' before we can even begin to measure progress.

Yep, Bush is old news alright, like all those doughnuts we ate for eight years. Gone, but still following us around.

Then you claim to be a conservative to libertarian but you're really something else. If Bush let you down then you find anther conservative/libertarian you don't switch to a tax and spend create a big government socialist.

I'm willing to accept that arguement if you're consitent. Will you be the first liberal to blame Bill Clinton for 9/11 on the argument that Bush inherited a weakened and diminished military and intelligence community. Or will you also try to have your cake and eat it to?

I believe we would have to have complete access to things we probably will never to point a clear blaming finger at any one pres for 9/11. However, yes Clinton has to share blame for sure.

Will you be the first conservative to say we are trying to see measureable economic progress a bit soon?

Like asking a cork going over Niagra Falls when we will see them climbing back up. It won't be happening soon.

Except in a two party system, only two parties get to play. I'm a pragmatist. Throwing the current rascals out makes the old rascals think about what they did wrong. Unfortunately, the Republican Party gave up actual thinking quite some time ago. Sarah Palin nailed that down pretty solidly. She was the choice that pushed me over the edge. Up until then, I was feeling pretty good about John McCain. When he picked her, he proved he had lost all his marbles, and had no principles left.

And, sorry, Obama is not a tax and spend create a big government socialist. "Calling a tail a leg does not make it so."

Bush inherited the most powerful and expensive armed forces on the planet. The Clinton administration tried to make sure there was a clean transition on intelligence, but the Bush White House held anything Democratic in such contempt that they blew it off. Remember the infamous August 2001 briefing about Osama Bin Laden, when Bush told the briefer, "Okay, you covered your ass, now get out of here."?

What I will give Bush credit for is several things:
1) The Surge

2) Listening more to Condi Rice than Dick Cheney after 2006.

3) Apparently having learned from his mistakes in the transition from Bill Clinton, he went out of his way to insure a clean transition to Barack Obama.

I didn't ask you why you didn't vote for Mccain/Palin. You say you lean conservative/libertarian. I would think you would have voted for Barr or the libertarian candidate rather then taking a huge leap in beliefs to vote for the great socialist?
