Understand that any President elected in 2008 was going to be advised by top economists to spend to prevent a "Great Depression"-like freefall and also create a recovery stimulus pkg. Problem is niether plan is going to eradicate our debt completely in four years, maybe more. However, IMO formed by top economist opinions, Obama's plan will cut the debt and unemployment figures significantly more than the keep the "tax cut" for the rich and "stay the course" do nothing Republican plans.

When I retire I'll have to come down your way and get some of that stuff you're smoking.

do you understand why we left leaning individuals here "conservatives" cry about deficit spending look askance at you? where was your voice when bush, cheney and company cut taxes and increased spending and, oh yeah, left the war spending out of the budget? i don't recall any reticence in spending as long as the "conservatives" held the check book. so if obama is steering this great country toward financial disaster, remember there was a time you had the ear of those in charge and remained silent.

Amazing that the overriding thought from Republicans is that somehow Obama could just keep on chugging on Bush's old tired ideas and everything would just work itself out. Lets be specific. we'll start with this: Which policy are you refering to? What did obama do to change it?

How about the policy to get us out of Iraq?
How about the policy to apologize when he realizes a mistake?
How about the policy to have a visible communication with Americans, rather than hiding?
How about the policy to begin to reengage in talks with the Middle East
How about the policy to ask for advice, from those who have expert knowledge in areas he may not?
How about the policy to hardball the Auto industry into making cars we might actually buy?
How about fixing roads so bridges may stop falling into rivers?
Investing in Education
Investing in Green powered rail.
Recognizing climate change.

And what was the outcome or the intended outcome?

Improvement in each area.

I liked the idea for CFC but I think the middle class was left out because I think very few people in the middle class participated.
