if your prospects for promotion are not good, then capitalism produces little incentive to do anything other than pretend to work:

Have them check out what our president is doing. Might learn something.
trump is awful and your a poor judge of character. he constantly lies, just maybe less than hillary.

if you want the economy to improve, then you have to do what all the protestors did to try and block the Kav vote.

So there's no improving anything? Boy are you Debbie Downer!
the idea is not to get your hopes up, and dont be fooled.

like if the recession happens, ppl will blame trump, but its only partly his fault. recessions always happen.

i draw parallels between how people hope their god will save them (he wont) and how they hope their politicians will save them (they wont typically).

trump did okay on the trade deal with mexico / canada. so thats alright.

note that UK fell for margaret thatcher and reagan's right wing revolution. they currently are having their govt healthcare defunded. UK has had falling wages for decades.

Leaders who do nothing to end such poverty are often big defenders of family values. Meanwhile, capitalism produces such income and wealth inequality that 40% of UK women report they cannot afford menstrual supplies: they suffer "period poverty."

1 out of 10 children in NYC public schools is now homeless, driven by runaway income inequality and skyrocketing housing costs. It’s time to push back on the luxury developer lobbies squeezing & displacing our families, making our city empty+unaffordable to all but the very few.
