So by your reasoning communism is fine even if it doesn't raise the standard of living. So being miserable together to you is ok as long as everyone is equal. It apparently gets under your skin that people live comfortably in 1500 sq ft homes with plenty.to eat, decent clothes to wear but they don't have the 10,000 sq ft home the rich guy has plus all his expensive vehicles and toys. That's the world that capitalism gets for most but to you it isn't fair. How dare that rich guy have it so much better than you!
Chomsky says we shouldnt have slavery or capitalism even if standards of living increase under them

You misunderstood the video

Nope. You just made an extremely poor argument because you can't extract yourself from your typical assertion that workers in a capitalist system are slaves.

Markets dont work like that
What planet do you live on? Markets work exactly like that. Why do you think people go to college or get training in a trade? It makes them marketable. Where do you think the word marketable comes from?

Planet never had to worry about the real world.

The assertion was standards of living are improving under capitalism, therefore this is a good system

And chomsky says standards went up under slavery and no thats no defense of any economy

There are plenty of reasons to not have slavery. Capitalism isn't slavery. Selling you on an idea where we can all have happy lives doing what we want and living well doing it will only serve to make you miserable because you're convinced that your job is unfair, it's the equivalent of slavery, and some guy is living well off your efforts. You could improve your situation by working hard, getting promotions, getting training. But you don't want that. You want everything handed to you. Nothing gets done without hard work. But you seem to believe it does.

Power corrupts.

Are the capitalists or politicians only getting 2 or 3 weeks paid vacation?

Or are they violating the christian golden rule?

What does one have to do with the other? If a man starts a business and can only pay an employee $15hr with no benefits because he has to pay himself also plus cover the costs of the business does that make him evil? Should he pay the employee the same as he makes?

So how exactly would a business get started? Do you ever stop at a local sandwich shop to eat? Pop into a convenience store to buy a drink? Go buy a pair of shoes? Are all those small businesses full of corrupt evil people?
